Up to the star that rose on sky
The long way is so awesome
That thousands of years went by
Before its light to blossom.
It may be dead on the large bow
In faraway blue spaces
But only now its beam can glow
Above our bleak faces.
Its faint icon time overcame
From heaven’s vault suspended,
Nobody saw it when a flame,
We see it now when ended.
And, just alike, when wistful pain
Of our dead love faded
Thin rays of sorrow still remain
On soul forever braided.
