LOVE UNCONQUERED
I could almost see her
And yet I could not.
I ought to have sweat blood then
From the anguish of my yearning
Crying out for her
From the fervor of my supplications
To have but one glimpse
Of love.
After all these battles
After losing all the strength within
Still remains
Love unconquered
That breaks me down with grief
Every time my mind alludes
To a part of her
Every time my soul senses a gentle approach
I feel her near-by,
In light shades of colors,
That my achromatic heart perceives as light.
It is my sky that becomes blacker
At an indefinite height overhead
Above the rough and chill, ice ground
With crags that hurt
And make me bleed.
Grey clouds spread disorderly
Bear that impress that hollows in me
Had blenched from my breast
To look for love unconquered
Left behind
The only who could hear
My brush of feet.
