Day One caught me walking by
this two-story townhouse with redwood shutters
paint shrivelled badly on its old grey walls
a yellow street dog barked for a meal
front door opened
from behind beige drapes hanging loose at the entrance
an old man in pyjamas answered the call
Day Two - was walking by
the two-story townhouse with redwood shutters
the morning light caressing its old walls
front door opened
a light coffee flavor reached me on the sidewalk
the yellow street dog was thankful for its meal
Day Seven and I was walking by
this two-story townhouse with dark shaded windows
rain beating rhythmically against its old shrivelled walls
a yellow street dog posted outside the door
saw the Ambulance go
and stayed there waiting
Another blessed day found me walking by
a beautiful two-story townhouse with redwood shutters
light dancing on its old greyish walls
front door opened
from behind beige drapes hanging loose at the entrance
came the laughter of a man
saved by a dog
