Winter of love
as it felt

And I turned the telescope towards me,
finding myself distant from self
My white roses were not anymore red
and the burning coal freezing me with -
the winter from my bone cracking love
I put it down, and found comfort wearing
a pair of short-sight reading glasses
and
my white roses turned red again, my love
and I resumed reading, watching you -
melting down like a candle
