Joanna Mary, you are now far away
you have always wanted to be away,
Joanna Mary.
You have loved the southern seas that ships
go for days at random
and the ports where the fishers of corals return in the evening
you have loved them as well,
the snow covered mountains, islands, forests and unknown
cities
all that haven’t been here and have been far away,
you have loved
and departures were inside you like harps
and played
all the songs of the earth
and seas
travel songs, for sailors, for
the fishers of corals
for all the people who live, dream and die away;
and no song for the stellar distance of my
eyes
when I was looking at you and saying:
Joanna Mary you are the most beautiful flower in the world.
