I have been born anew, today,
all my pores open toward you,
my heart ablaze,
the blood is running madly
through my veins
I knew the time has come for me
to change,
I shall no more,
no longer count and weigh,
put everything through sieve
but love, accept, forgive
no longer shall I think when hurt
to take revenge
I will root jealousy out, and spite,
bitterness, malcontent I’ll clear off
my roses will no more have thorns
I’ll be as trustful and affectionate
as a newborn.
