Another morning of the soul
may come at any time,
be ready to receive
the gift of renewed life
Solely he who lost it once
can wait for its return
You see your childhood in a flash:
a time of innocence and play,
eternity was naturally reigning
in a shimmer;
rubbing your eyelids gently
you wished your eyes would catch the gleam
A morning of the soul’s sure to come
only who lost it once does know
it will return
if he can patiently await
aware at every instant
of the soothing presence of the Lord.
