New Marble

There she goes she has found a marble
She’s already so far she’s so small by now
I’m not shining no more she’s gone!
I’m no longer holding her down.
My head seams heavy today
And all my senses have gone to waste
I don’t want to separate our ways
But my shine’s all gone, erased.
I’m old to her and all used up
Time to throw what was of us away
I’ve put all my tears into a teacup
She and her marble are caught in foreplay.
If you’re looking down into the jewel case
You can find me at the bottom to the right
A lusterless metal is so easy to misplace
No longer can she see me in her lamplight.
