O Jeez! It\'s past midnight

O Jeez!
It\'s past midnight,
All is quiet outside!
the world seems asleep
Why can\'t I?
It\'s all dark around
the sky is stripped of
its stars,
moon seems to have sunk
in darkness,
stark \'heavenly\' darkness
with its weird eyes
staring at me
and wringing my loneliness;
While I type these lines
sparks from my heart raise
flashes of lightning;
every beat of my heart thuds
in the gloomy surround,
blasting the horrible silence
and the choking darkness
around.
