A Dream is Lost....

I travel far and wide.
need no passport or visa,
immigration doesn\'t matter,
I am immune from security check.
Yesterday I was in London,
today I am in LA
tomorrow...maybe anywhere!
well, I\'m not yet sure,
I havn\'t yet chalked out my schedule;
someone else has to fix my itinerary;
someone whom I don\'t have the power to summon;
he comes when he wills
he\'s a moody visitor,enigmatic,
timeless, beyond space;
He\'s capable of flying without wings.
able to cross all boundaries;
Oh, he\'s ungovernable !
Like a stubborn horse,
he could be brought to water
but you cannot make him drink;
Not a beast yet adamant and spasmodic like a beast;
I wish he comes soon
as I have a date with my love tomorrow,
and I am waiting for him to arrange
my sojourn to the tryst on moon.
but that rogue, that scoundrel,
that great friend of none,
that uncaring and disobedient aide camp
is to be found nowhere!
Is he\'s on some other errand
or just forgotten me all in all?
The night is melting down;
sleep is overwhelming me
and, lo, I\'m in another world!
But that imp of a dream,
my aide camp,
my vehicle of visionary journey
is no where to be seen !
Dawn has opened its eyes
With the sun smiling on earth;
I wake up and know,
I have missed my date;
my rainbow, my vision has betrayed me
I have lost my dream.
