I wake up to this nightmare,
This dead reality.
And what I know will eat my soul.
And take ahold of me.
Dead ruins now surround me
Lined with fear and grief,
They become a home for my heart.
And will never bring relief.
When I stare into forever
I see I place I cannot reach.
A place too far for me to try
To get to where I need.
I have a need to get there,
Because of what I see.
For at the end of forever,
Lies the heart of me.
It waits for what I\'ve not had.
For everything I\'ve needed from one.
It waits for someone who respects it
and doesn\'t trample it when she\'s done.
