Repetitive Dreams
On Life\'s Own Couch

Always so prosperous
never failing to do
your very best.
From a generous window
you look down
on the town\'s
poorer quarters,
feeling blessed.
And then you
fall asleep
on the couch
once again.
As you open your eyes
you notice a cockroach
crawling \'cross the floor.
You get up, stumble to the door
that creaks when you open it
and look up a steep hill
on the other side of the river.
Now, what a grand mansion that is.
See how the sun rays are reflected
in that wide panel window.
