with each step i take, the path of life gets darker
the light i could so clearly see, is now miles farther
my thoughts are locked within a giant maze
my eyes are shaded by the clouds of haze...
abiding chaos reigns in my soul
all hope is lost, forever now i fall
farewell i must say, for i go with the shadows
embraced by the darkness, pierced by the arrows
i now must part from this world of light
god shall decide with his wisdom and might
if what i speak is true, or maybe just a dream
for not all the things, they\'re not what they seem
inflamed by an unmanned willing to live
i rise from the gloom, the shadows i rive
the grim sight i had, the never-ending fall
they are all vanquished, the light i now call
