Reception Party

Her face flushed with emotion as she joined the traditional singers from Maramureş and the rhythm of the dance quickened. She loved it. She got to taste delicious Romanian food and red wine. Two mugs later, she was exceedingly happy and talkative. A middle aged musician from the jazz band started a conversation with her. She was pleased with the attention. ‘Are you a woman or a girl?’ She replied, honestly: ‘Something in between’ and explained her childish character. Later on, he asked her to go to bed with him. Shocked, she refused. Time passed ever so slowly till she got home, afraid and ashamed.
