From the distance, steps in shadow,
Words unspoken, dear voice,
Feelings of untouched caressing,
Stay with me!
In the darkness of emotion,
Lonely, strange and not forgiven,
I am waiting for the moment
Of the truth within the hour;
Don’t leave!
Wait! Just wait a few more hours,
Haven’t said my final words,
Didn’t kiss good bye or hugged you,
Don’t go!
But the hours stole the minute,
And you’re gone, forever gone!
