approved by the ladder
the night was bittersweet,
buried in your eyes
like a disease
I remember the tainted
feathers
the broken mirrors
your dress shred
your limbs
torn
and yes, I remember
the child
unborn
in thy womb
we all return
as shadows
as ravens
as colors
