I am/ heart attack waiting to happen/ a whirpool of worms
the glove that grips the scalpel/ the pus &
the blood. I am slow death and clinched
teeth/ I convulse & contort/ I am morphine
grin/ & always begging for more
I am the laughing grave/ the tremor of
spades/ I am the candles that glitter
insane/ I am bread & wine/ incense &
feces/ I am the filth that makes you
cover your faces
I am a child of God
