this world\'s distorted reflection/ back into place
you say faith/ I say faith/ we say
this brain needs its/ natural opiates
otherwise it will/ severely malfunction
again
abandon me/ says this ship of bodies
as I watch you play with your favorite/ mind
no life here, Sir/ you should try the strawberries
the puppet\'s inert/ the strings awake
& your surgical gloves/ now choke so
gently
and you kneel and light/ the candy
candle/ and talk me through/ my laughing
ruin/ wrapped in your force-fed/ jingle
consumed by/ your endless riddle
you will/ heal me
