Innocent smile

I've talked to the trees, but they were all silent,
I've spoken with birds, but they were all quiet,
I've looked at the sky, but got lost in its unboundedness,
I've prayed to get lost in some kind of divine gracefulness,
The same way one might be lost in your childish, innocent smile,
Reminding us to search much deeper for the Divine Christ Child.
