Perfect is what was meant to be
except that you were not
to make it whole
The sun was split in two
one red for your absence in body
one yellow for your presence in soul
The sea was calling you
to wipe away the tears
mistaken for sea drops
just as bitter
just as salty
but warm
Standing there waiting
cold feet on cold stone
the cry of the seagulls
my cry in silence
arms wide open
embracing the lack of you
I\'ve lived that half perfect day
Felt it with half soul and half senses
The sea was half cold
and the hesitating sun half rose half set
for I was not whole
