I am lost in a world full of strangers
no path leads me to the shoreline.
Dreams and ambitions filter in and out of
my mind with the passing of each season.
Friends vanished like birds in late autumn
leaving me with a void that\'s hard to fill.
The loneliness is breaking my will to survive
missing the companionship of ships gone by.
I gloat in self pity never looking to the future
praying for the darkness of night to fall on me.
Troubled by my plight i look to the heavens
maybe i need the inspiration to fire my soul.
Feeling captured by life in a net of selfishness
i will take my leave and try again to succeed.
