Hold Me

Hold me close,

For I may fall;

Wipe my tears away,

So I won\'t have to crawl...

In the filth I\'ve made,

And so often regret;

Wish I could clean it up,

And yet...

There is no way that I may,

Wipe away passages of life;

Which I have to accept,

And go on, in time\'s freedom or strife.

And how I crave for forgiveness,

From my heart and soul;

But forgiveness doesn\'t want to come,

And becomes a torturing tool.

It hits me many times... in day and in my sleep,

And it strikes my heart with such a fear,

That it wakes me up in a continuous weep,

Where I cannot understand any tear.

And she comes up to me, I look up at her,

She wipes my tears of confusion away...

She takes me up and holds me close,

No more do I have to be afraid.

I close my eyes and put my head upon her shoulder,

For I know now, I finally do,

That true love forgives all,

And my heart and soul, with it, will too.
