Where Was My Angel Then...

When needing a hand to leave all this,

The help that might gave me the bliss,

When the swamp of pain was all around,

And the dark was all that I had found,

When there was nothing in me to hold on

And fade my faith that said:\"Go on!\",

When my soul looked like the ice and stone

And I was left behind, afraid and too alone,

When I felt the death would be much easier

And I saw my way no where, being dizzier

I just looked on the blue sparkling sky

And asked the moon to turn back time,

Called my angel with prayers and tears,

Kneeling in front of the killing fears

But my voice just echoed the cave inside

As none was there to hear what words did hide…

When my heart was spinning in blood

And the pain was like a swallowing flood,

I just let the past be nothing but the past,

Took a new breath and forgot about the last,

Did what a wise whisper told me to:

Dived in life, held on to loving you

Though feelings were more than I could show

And truth was something I used not know,

But now it’s different, now it’s when I understand:

Heaven knows where was my angel then…
