Echoes shatter in the distance,
Words that no one else can comprehend,
Whispered by the mouths of angels,
Silent songs of hurt and pain,
Hollow songs with no refrain,
Bitter notes of broken harps,
Music for my broken soul,
Endless whispers of the void,
From ashes born, in ashes dead
Old parchments sealed and never read.
Fragments of accursed fallen stars,
Scarred are my memories of love,
Fallen kisses from your dying lips,
Lost between those feeble fingertips,
Which reach out desperately for you.
